My Blood Test Results: 2010 – 2017
For my annual physical exams, my doctor orders a variety of blood tests. I’m publishing here the results of my lipid panel, metabolic panel, and TSH (thyroid function) tests for the years 2010 – 2017.
I first began eating a low-carb, high-fat diet in March 2011, about five months before the blood test for that year.
I ate a somewhat higher carb diet in 2013-14 and 2016 — more by laziness than design. But compared to the average American, I was eating a low-carb, high-fat diet throughout the six years. I think these test result show that I’ve been a reasonably healthy, older man during the years of my LCHF diet.
Of course, other health indicators need to be considered, too, such as weight, BMI, waist-line, and blood-pressure. I’ve also improved in those areas during the years of my LCHF diet.
July 2010 (Results for the year before I started eating LCHF)
